Working with Coatings and Colors for More Than Three Decades

          Babylon and Julie Schoniwitz founded Babylon’s Painting & Decorating, Inc. in 1989. Previous to obtaining their own C-33 painting license, they worked together for more than a decade at one of Hawaii’s large painting companies.

          Since forming Babylon’s Painting, they have achieved a five-star, A+ rating with the Hawaii Better Business Bureau and built a positive working relationship with many of Oahu’s property managers, resident managers, association board members, and architects. Babylon and Julie believe in loyal, long-term relationships with clients and the Babylon’s Painting Ohana. Their field supervisor and office administrator have been with the company for more than 20 years. 

          The mission of Babylon’s Painting is to maintain the lowest number of change orders and additional cost of any contractor on the Island. The company philosophy is to bid each job and do the job correctly from the get-go; meeting and exceeding each client’s expectations. Client concerns are of the highest priority and always receive immediate and personal service.

          High-school sweethearts – Babylon and Julie met at Mililani High School on Oahu. They both agree that they are truly blessed to have each other, three wonderful children, and a long-respected business. And, they look forward to working with you on your next painting project.

 

+ Malae Lagafuaina, Field Supervisor

When you have a crew out on the job, it is essential to have a supervisor with expertise. Malae is definitely a pro at his job, having been with Babylon’s Painting since 1990. Malae oversees and also works alongside the painting crews on the job. Reliable, trustworthy, and caring, the team depends on Malae.

 

+ Kim Kaina, Bookeeper & Office Administrator

Almost every client at Babylon’s Painting has met or talked with Kim. She joined the company in 1991 and is responsible for handling all accounts payable and receivable, plus payroll.

            Born and raised in Hawaii, Kim and her husband have celebrated 25 years together; have five beautiful children and three adorable granddaughters. Kim enjoys scrapbooking, crafts, and exercise for good health, Active in her church, she also finds time to teach Sunday school.
